Marion Barber was the workhorse in the Cowboys offense during their run to three playoff appearances in four seasons from 2006 through 2009, along with scoring 47 career touchdowns during his six seasons, third all-time for the Cowboys.

Daryl Johnston did all the dirty work at fullback, leading the way for Emmitt Smith to become the NFL’s all-time leading rusher. If you don’t believe he belongs in the Top 10, just ask Emmitt.

Most tend to forget just how good Calvin Hill was during his six seasons with the Cowboys, leading them in rushing four times, and an integral part in leading the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl victory in 1971.

Herschel Walker was with the Cowboys only 3½ seasons the first time around, but his value might have been highest in the trade to Minnesota in 1989 that brought the Cowboys three players and a slew of draft choices that stocked those three Super Bowl teams.
